Abstract

This review examines the book “Biografías de mujeres científicas del Ecuador” by M. Arias Palomeque (Ed.), published by the National University of Education Press in 2025. The work addresses issues related to the visibility of Ecuadorian women scientists, focusing on the need to highlight the challenges they face in building scientific careers within the Ecuadorian context. It demonstrates that inclusion can be achieved in a real, concrete, and everyday manner, and shows how Ecuador has outstanding women scientists viewed from a perspective that transcends scientific androcentrism.
