Abstract

The story “La doble y única mujer” (1927), by Pablo Palacio, can lead to a reading oriented to a meta-reflexive reflection, where the quality of duality / uniqueness can be interpreted as the relationship between the literary text and its reading. This proposal-to read each text as a producer and dependent on its own exegesis, under the hypothesis that each discourse contains its own keys to interpretation-dialogues with other Latin American aesthetic searches; so that the present analysis opens a way of communication between the Palacian work and that of other authors of the region.

Andrés Cadena

Ecuatoriano. (Quito, 1983). Estudió Comunicación y Literatura en la Universidad Católica de Quito; y terminó una maestría en Literatura Hispanoamericana en la UASB, cuya tesis está en desarrollo. Es autor del libro de cuentos Fuerzas ficticias, que ganó el Premio Pichincha 2012 y que tiene al momento dos ediciones. Fue coordinador editorial de la Campaña de Lectura Eugenio Espejo, y forma parte del comité editorial del sello literario Antropófago
