Situation of electronic government in the digital age of the Latin American countries joined to the OECD

Abstract
Digital technologies have become a priority in public administration policies and programs, strategically turning traditional government into electronic government. Countries are trying to implement e-government policies and programs to keep up with the race in the direction of digitization and not be left behind. At the same time, the literature on e-government is extensive and has evolved as well as its conceptualization. Therefore, this article proposes a systematic review of the literature, where the situation of electronic government in Latin American countries is explored. The experiences of Colombia, Mexico and Chile are analyzed and compared. A mapping of the literature is presented that allows determining the existing gaps in the generation of knowledge in relation to e-government in the digital age, between Latin America and the world. The results show a close relationship between the topic that is analyzed at a global level with the one that is developed for Latin American countries. However, some trending topics have not been explored.
