El patrimonio como domesticación de la cultura Comentarios al Dossier de ICONOS 20

Abstract

Three of the articles formerly published in the dossier of the journal ICONOS 20 entitled “Patrimonio, memoria y ‘regeneración’ urbana” (Cultural Heritage, Memory and Urban Regeneration), recognize some of the perverse effects of the preservation and regeneration of Historic Centers and other public spaces. The present work explores the arguments developed by those articles, and approaches them in the context of a procces that, in the name of tourism, domesticates culture.
